"We got our first pup Piper for Valentine's 2021. We fell in love with her immediately. She is intelligent,beautiful, calm, yet playful. After a year, we decided to get Piper a sister from her mom’s next litter. So now we have Lexi! They are loving pups and are so protective of each other and their human mama. Yoga is super fun with these two love bugs trying to get a kiss in. I show off our pups every chance we get and have recently been invited to bring them to special assigned days in community care facilities for the elderly. Best pups to bring some smiles and laughter to people in need. And George… can’t say enough about his kindness, patience and professionalism. Great humans and great pups!"

"Like many others, we searched for a puppy during the early stages of the pandemic. We already have an older golden and wanted him to have a friend, knowing that he is in his last years. A friend and I were keeping an eye out so we could both surprise our families over Christmas of 2020. We looked for months and contacted several breeders, but most were a year or two out for puppies. I was excited when my friend stumbled upon a Kijiji ad for Golden Country Tails. Within a few hours, we had arranged a meeting time for the parents and then, within a few days, met them and fell in love, paid deposits and just waited. We had our little bundle of white fluff delivered to us mid-December and instantly fell in love. We have had several dogs over the years and have loved each and every one equally or more than the one we had just lost. Our Tucker from Golden Country Tails is something else altogether, though. You can always tell the way a dog has been raised and cared for by how they act when they come to a new home. We are still in awe of how amazing he is a year and a half later! He immediately took to all of us and fell into a routine right away. Easy to train, extremely affectionate and impossibly adorable. He has such a personality, and we enjoy every moment of having him in our family. We can’t get over how affectionate and gentle he is. I have highly recommended this breeder to everyone I know, and despite us living in Ontario and them being in Alberta now, we would still consider making the trip and driving when we need another puppy!"

Hope you are all well! Winter is surely setting in here this week, down to minus 28! Doesn't seem to bother Bruce much, he loves playing in the snow.
I had a gentleman, Steve, reach out to ask about Bruce and my experience with you guys. Just wanted to let you know that I had nothing but positive things to say and feel free to pass on my information to anyone looking into your pups.
I do have a friend who is considering a golden so I will pass on your information to her.
We would also consider another one eventually, possibly next summer if you are planning any litters around then.

Hi Steve,
Yeah, so I manage a veterinary clinic in Prince George and did a lot of research on breeders before committing to Golden Country Tails. I purchased my dog Bruce at the end of February this year and after bringing him home (and into the clinic every day) I had two of my employees (one being a veterinarian) each purchase his brothers a week later. I can say with 100% certainty that George and his family are committed to the betterment of the breed and produce amazing dogs. I also had a client of our clinic reach out to me as they met Bruce here at the clinic and wanted the breeders information, they purchased a female from them this summer and have zero complaints.
Bruce is without a doubt one of the best behaved puppies I have ever met, and working where I do that is really saying something. Bruce has been a clinic dog since the first day I got him, he has never once shown any signs of aggression and meets everyone with a wagging tail and so much love to give. He is a sucker for treats and knows that my receptionists have a jar at their desk so he does sometimes sneak out of my office to go get some.
He is going to be one year old on December 1st and he is sitting at 72 pounds and has been hovering around there since September, I suspect he will likely hit 75 in the next few months when he reaches his full maturity.
Bruce and his brothers, who we get together for play dates with often, are all so sweet and loving. They all get along with all of our other pets and our kids. They love to be outside and love swimming.
I have zero hesitation in recommending George, he is extremely quick to reply to any questions we had and he is invested in his dogs and pups.
I have attached some pictures of Bruce so you can see what he looks like as an adult.

"Hi George,
Hope all is well. Hard to believe this litter is 1 year old today. Rooster is doing great. He loves the farm and the snow, and has taken quite the liking to one of the cats! He is a retriever through and through, always carrying something in his mouth.
He has a big personality! He has shown no issues with allergies or sensitivity to anything. He loves to be vacuumed with the dog brush attachment I got for the vacuums. He falls asleep!

"Opal is she is such a sweet, calm, obedient girl (she's pretty smart too, and definitely loves her treats, so has been easy to train her). Growing up I always wanted a golden retriever, it was my “dream” dog. Joey has exceeded my expectations about the breed. He has honestly been the best companion for our family. He is the most gentle soul and loves everyone. He loooooooves our kids and is incredibly gentle with both of them. He’s a dream to groom because he just falls asleep. Which makes his daily/weekly maintenance a breeze. He still gets to see his brothers, which they all play very well together. (Bruce and Henry are also amazing boys!) We are always getting compliments on Joey and his personality. He is always making friends (human, dog, and cats) on our walks together. I could go on and on about our boy.
